The occasion was the reopening of the Apollo theater after undergoing extensive renovations in 1985. The program is Narrated by Bill Cosby. The opening features an amusing exchange between Cosby and the young kids from "The Cosby Show". The cast of singers and great music is probably without comparison in the history of entertainment. The discs are a japanese pressing and first-rate quality.
